Privacy Policy

1. Who we are

DivorceWise ("we", "us", "our") is an organizational and planning tool operated by Salt Rose LLC. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use DivorceWise, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. Questions? Email info@divorcewise.co.

2. Information we collect

  • Account: email address and authentication credentials.
  • Assessment answers: the responses you enter to generate your readiness score.
  • Tool data: checklists, asset inventory, timelines, housing plans, notes, and any files you upload.
  • Payment data: processed by Stripe. We receive transaction metadata (amount, date, last 4 of card, customer ID). We never see or store your full card number.
  • Technical data: basic logs (IP, browser, timestamps) needed to operate the service and prevent abuse.

We intentionally minimize what we collect. We do not ask for Social Security numbers, account numbers, or other sensitive identifiers, and we discourage you from entering them into the platform.

3. How we use information

  • Provide the tools you paid for (dashboard, checklists, AI features, summary PDFs).
  • Authenticate you and secure your account.
  • Process payments and issue refunds through Stripe.
  • Respond to support requests you send us.
  • Improve the product in aggregate (never by selling your personal data).

4. Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share only with the service providers required to run DivorceWise:

  • Stripe — payment processing and billing.
  • Supabase — authentication, database, and file storage.
  • Cloudflare — hosting and edge delivery.
  • AI providers — content sent to AI-powered features is processed by our model provider to generate the response. Do not paste sensitive identifiers into AI prompts.

We may also disclose information when required by law (subpoena, court order, or comparable legal process).

5. Data retention

Raw assessment answers are automatically purged after 30 days. Your computed readiness score and tier result are retained so your dashboard stays current. Tool data (checklists, inventories, notes, uploads) persists until you delete it or delete your account. Deleting your account permanently removes your profile and stored data and cannot be undone.

6. Security

Data is transmitted over HTTPS and stored in access-controlled databases with row-level security. No online service is 100% secure — please use a strong, unique password and enable multi-factor authentication where offered.

7. Your rights

You can access, export, or delete your data at any time from your dashboard, or by emailing info@divorcewise.co. Depending on where you live (e.g. California, EU/UK), you may have additional rights to request a copy of your data, correct it, or object to certain processing. We will honor verified requests within 30 days.

8. Children

DivorceWise is not directed to anyone under 18 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

9. Changes

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the platform after changes constitutes acceptance.
